I basically spent my entire day yesterday working on our org freshie kit entitled “The ^ID Freshie Survival Guide” to be distributed among the Industrial Design freshmen in our college. It has been a tough job I must say, from the brainstorming and collection of inputs down to the rendering and test-printing, and considering I have no previous org-related experiences.

We wanted to make an effort to create a really good impression to the freshies, to make them feel genuinely welcomed and well-aided by their ate’s and kuya’s in UP, and to give them a sense of assurance that they’ve got a bright future ahead of them in choosing this path. More importantly, we need new members to help us execute the hundred thousand plans the past and present leaders have been plotting in our heads. We need people to make all these things happen. And I have a good feeling this is gonna be our year. This is gonna be the start of something new. (It feels so right to be here with youuu! oh ohh!!)

Woahkay time for some bath! Zzz the lazy weather is on.

My dad’s new favorite restaurant (THANK GOD!)

First time to visit Romulo Cafe last month to dine out and celebrate my sister’s banishment from college (which becomes my mom’s way of welcoming her into law school, although my sister is halfhearted about it I think). And can I just say that my dad really, really liked the Filipino cuisine that’s served here! Yep, he’s such a killjoy, always unwilling to try out new options from a different food chain that’s why my mom doesn’t like dinner dates being driven by him! :P What a joy, after his long preference to Max’s, here he goes, wanting to go back to a different restaurant! (Insert big smiles here) And this wasn’t the first time tho. We made him eat at Chili’s before and we were surprised he liked it too! But last year, we forced him to drive us to TGI Friday’s but he didn’t like it at all, so yeah, no going back there :(

Very recently, my cousin got married. And judging from the excessive flower decorations, pompous venue, the big food serving, its ride with the popular subscription to same-day edit videographers, dj hosts, a couple of event coordinators (who according to popular belief don’t coordinate that much, so who needs them anyway), unlimited photo session via photobooth, and lastly this vintage bridal car in the photo.. I believe the wedding cost way too much, which I think is unnecessary. But believe me, I have nothing against grand weddings. It’s just that I believe the sacrament of marriage (okay here we go, not literally the sacrament which I somehow abhor for its gruesome formality, but the legit union of two people who love each other more than anyone else in the world.. okay cheesy stuff) is more important than the wedding itself. It’s supposed to be simple, not as solemn, but fun and as long as everyone is having fun, nothing could go wrong. No need to spend money on unimportant things that do not really count in creating genuine happiness. They could’ve saved it for my future nephew/niece’s educational plan or a new house or probably a car? I dunno, here goes the practical me..

Judging from my fail webcam photos (using my laptop as mirror for the lack of one), I can smell the failure that awaits our superhero shoot today. Hm good luck to us. P.S. Please don’t judge.. I’m going as a hybrid of Star Sapphire and Starfire of Teen Titans. Okay, feel free to laugh now :)

Because my videos are taking forever to convert and it’s 5 in the morning and I cannot sleep thinking of the creepy dream I’ve just had last night plus the terrifying nonfiction horror stories I’ve just watched hours ago (blah too much details here), I painted my nails black. I’m not really a fan of nail art and ultracolorful nails but I love how black and colors like platinum red and school bus yellow make extra long gross-looking nails like mine, look classy. Or is it just me and my awful color perception?

“Are you okay?”

Posted on May 27, 2012

I hate being asked this question especially when it is irrelevant. Especially on days like this, when I’m just in my usual lazy days, laying around, sleeping all day, movie marathon-ing, skipping breakfast/lunch, having super heavy dinner, excessive blogging, bathing at 3am, making some weird crafts of some sort until I get tired, sleeping in the morning and waking up at night. Well I guess it’s summer, and I haven’t had much sleep ever since the summer classes ended. I kinda missed this. This bonding with the internet and bed, away from all the school and family stress. In short, being a lifeless human being to people who think being alone and reading a good book on a stormy night is creepy and just plain weird. Thanks for asking anyway. But seriously, the question is irrelevant right now.

To the people out there who care about nothing but themselves, to the people who enjoy seeing the failure of others, to the people wishing others nothing but misery, to the people who are being constantly judgmental, to the people who are unreasonably evil and to be more specific, to the people who have no sense of debt of gratitude:

Remember this day. Remember this very day. Once I get out of college, get a stable job, make a lot of money for myself and my family, and become independent without having to owe anyone anything, I’ll have to wish for you nothing but happiness— happiness that does not come from ruining other people’s lives and making a fool out of yourselves. Get a life, seriously.
